The Blockchain solutions did not improve in all respects: the process took a little longer and resulted in relatively high calculation costs, Weidmann said in Frankfurt on Wednesday.” Similar experiences have been made elsewhere in the financial sector. Graceful? The Story of a Supertanker hunted by the US (german)

Reality update: Die unglaubliche Reise eines verrückten Supertankers | Telepolis … :

Guardian: US wants Snowden’s Income from his Memoires

Reality update: US government files civil lawsuit against Snowden over publication of memoir | US news | The Guardian … :

The lawsuit alleges that Snowden published without submitting the book to the agencies for pre-publication review, “in violation of his express obligations under the agreements he signed”. Additionally, the suit argues that Snowden has given public speeches on intelligence-related matters, “also in violation of his non-disclosure agreements”. Although it does not seek to block publication, the suit aims to recover all proceeds earned.

A Mountain that Only lasted for a Few Minutes…

Reality update: Here’s what happened in the impact crater the day it did in the dinos | Ars Technica … :

Big enough impact craters actually have a knob of uplifted rock in the center that forms due to the incredible shock forces involved. But the very largest impacts—like Chicxulub—end up with a ring of uplifted rock around the center, as if to mark the bulls-eye. Computer modeling, supported by observations of the deepest bedrock in the core, shows that the rock would have bounced around like jelly. Over 10 minutes or so, a new mountain would have soared into the sky before collapsing and spreading out into a raised ring on the crater floor.

Sea Life horror

Ship of horrors: life and death on the lawless high seas | World news | The Guardian … :

Greed, not water, sank the Oyang 70. The ship had tried to swallow too much fish; the ocean swallowed the ship instead. The last men off the drowning ship said that they saw Shin in the wheelhouse, refusing to abandon his post or put on a life jacket. Hugging a pole and clutching his clear bottle, he was muttering in Korean and crying.

9/11: What was the reason of that “global failure” in its structure? Fire was not, says a university study

Fairbanks University, Alaska: A study paid for by 3000+ engineers and architects concludes that the official version including the NIST report cannot be correct:

WTC7 collapse was NOT because of fire… :

The principal conclusion of our study is that fire did not cause the collapse of WTC 7 on 9/11, contrary to the conclusions of NIST and private engineering firms that studied the collapse.

The secondary conclusion of our study is that the collapse of WTC 7 was a global failure involving the near-simultaneous failure of every column in the building.

The Dangers of Lie Detectors

The race to create a perfect lie detector – and the dangers of succeeding | Technology | The Guardian … :

The mystery is how we keep getting away with it. Our bodies expose us in every way. Hearts race, sweat drips and micro-expressions leak from small muscles in the face. We stutter, stall and make Freudian slips. “No mortal can keep a secret,” wrote the psychoanalyst in 1905. “If his lips are silent, he chatters with his fingertips. Betrayal oozes out of him at every pore.”

Trump’s Screenshot Tweet of Classified Image Tells us a Lot about Current Satellite Image Tech

“leghlaHchu’be’chugh mIn lo’laHbe’ taj jej”“A sharp knife is useless if the eye is unable to clearly see.”

A Tweet has shown us the capabilities or the current generation of US spy satellites. By analyzing the images shared the location of the satellite was determined and traced to USA-224 AKA NROL-49 – an image intelligence satellite that is derived from a design in the 1970’s and also shares some design charactersitics with the Hubble Space Telescope.

JFK Rejected Planned CIA’s US False-Flag Terrorism Against Cuba in the US

Operation Northwoods – Wikipedia … :

The proposals called for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or other U.S. government operatives to commit acts of terrorism against American civilians and military targets, blaming them on the Cuban government, and using it to justify a war against Cuba. The possibilities detailed in the document included the possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities.[2] The proposals were rejected by John F. Kennedy.[3][4][5]

Sound and Quantum mechanics. Weird…

Trapping the Tiniest Sound – Scientific American

In a new study, scientists at JILA (a collaboration between the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the University of Colorado Boulder) tuned the energy units of their superconducting qubit so phonons would not be destroyed. Instead the phonons sped up the current in the circuit, thanks to a special material that created an electric field in response to vibrations. Experimenters could then detect how much change in current each phonon caused.

Hypernormalisation: Transnistria

Transnistrian Time-Slip – The New York Times … :

And so, the rebellion that established the independence of Transnistria [7] was not motivated by Russian nationalism, but by Soviet nostalgia — or, rather, by the inability to imagine a future other than a communist one. For many years after independence, Transnistria tried to re-establish that ineffective mainstay of communism, so eagerly rejected elsewhere: a centrally planned economy.

If you don’t know what Hypernormalisation means, watch this:

German every day racism. It’s different, but it is there.

Reality update: Als Afroamerikaner in Berlin: Multikulti ist der Kern von Rassismus – Kultur – Tagesspiegel … :
